FEATURED WEBINAR

An Overview of the Supplier Sustainable Procurement Programme

with Janet Smith, Head of Sustainability Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust,

Tuesday 4th of February 11am

The NHS has committed to becoming a net zero carbon national health service for the emissions they control directly by 2040, and for the emissions they influence by 2045, and these commitments are playing an increased role in the requirements for suppliers hoping to earn NHS contracts.

In this context, NHS England has launched a series of initiatives under the Net Zero and Sustainable Procurement Programme to help organisations and their suppliers reach their net zero targets, ensure NHS procurement is a force for good that helps local economies and improves wider determinants of health, and eliminate modern slavery in the NHS supply chain.

These initiatives include the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap, the Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment, and the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s Green Plan 2020-2025, and meeting the objectives of these initiatives will mean working collaboratively with their suppliers.

With exclusive insights from Janet Smith, Head of Sustainability at Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust this webinar will take a detailed look at the initiatives making up the NHS’s Sustainable Procurement Programme, and discuss what they mean for suppliers looking to start – or continue – working with the NHS.

Janet’s insights will be supported by data-driven insights from the HCI business intelligence platform – with details of live opportunities to participate in and a view of future spending trends.
